First Post!

The title of this note sounds somewhat epic. 'Chronicles of a Sunrise' stirs visions of lush colors swirling on the horizon as the darkness of night is invaded by the gloriousness of a new day. Alas, I cannot claim this brilliance of nature just yet. We'll have to wait until Spring before we see our truly brilliant sunrises from our new home. The Seattle winter will make sure of that, grey skies and rain are the only real constant for us until...oh...July?

I chose 'Chronicles from a Sunrise' because of our address. We are on the corner of Winther Road and Sunrise Road on Bainbridge Island. We have a view to the East that shows us many of the natural and man-made wonders that Washington State has to offer. We can see many of the Cascade Mountains. We can see massive container ships cruising the Puget Sound. I can hear sea lions from my front door at low tide. I can see the ferry boats crossing the sound to Seattle. I can see all of Seattle in it's man-made, machinistic glory! It's a wondrous place to live, and all I have to do is grab a cup of Joe, and exit to my deck to experience its splendor.

I will be starting a blog called 'Chronicles from a Sunrise' this coming week. I will post the link for everyone to join, if you so choose. I think it will be quite interesting if you keep an open mind and spirit.

Check back soon for more details.

Peace out! Actually, I prefer 'Peace UP'

J
